FORM Members with Kieran Comerford Head of Enterprise LEO Carlow
FORM’s Exhibition in the Shaw Room of Carlow Library during the Arts Festival was a great success. We were very proud to show a high standard of craftsmanship by 10 Carlow based designer makers.
The Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Ms. Mary Mitchell O’Connor, officially opened the exhibition and helped to launch our new directory and brochure. Karen Hennessy from the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland (DCCOI) was also our guest of honour. Many thanks to Kieran Comerford and John Mulcahy from Local Enterprise Office and the team at Carlow Library for all their help organising this significant event. Last but not least thanks to our members Emma Jane Champley and Martin Lyttle for co-ordinating the exhibition on the group’s behalf.
Thanks to everyone who came to the FORM exhibition, your support is very much appreciated. The brochures are available in the library and the tourism office.
FORM’s annual photoshoot is one of the highlights of the year and an important visual point of reference. It was a real pleasure to welcome back and work with photographer Rory Moore and we couldn’t have asked for a better venue than Kilgraney Country House’s gallery.
It is great to see the new work from our members captured so beautifully. Product images along with selected makers’ profile pics will be featured in our brand new concertina style brochure to be printed very soon. FORM would like to thank Carlow LEO for organising the shoot and their continued support of our creative endeavours.
Meanwhile, here are some images to whet your appetite.
Earlier this week FORM members held a meeting to elect new officers and discuss the activities for 2016. We are delighted to announce and congratulate our newly elected chairwoman Nicola Brown and our new secretary/vice chair Jim Behan. We wish to thank our outgoing chairwoman Ariane Tobin and outgoing secretary Emma Jane Champley for their tireless dedication and work over the past two years.
